Job Summary:
The Respite Care Provider offers temporary relief care for families by supervising and supporting individuals with autism in a safe, structured environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide short-term care for individuals with autism in home or community settings.
• Engage clients in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Follow individualized care plans and ensure the well-being of clients.
• Assist with personal care tasks, such as feeding, dressing, and hygiene, if needed.
• Monitor and document client behavior, mood, and activities.
• Communicate with families and supervisors regarding any concerns or progress.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow all state regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework in a related field preferred).
• Experience providing care for individuals with autism or special needs.
• Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergencies and handle challenging behaviors.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel if required.
